West Hancock High School is known for their outstanding winning reputation in wrestling. The school holds several state championships and state runner up places as a team and as individuals. Several other wrestlers have placed at the state tournament. The team was once coached by Wrestling Hall of Fame member Al DeLeon, and continues to have excellent coaches each year. The wrestling program grows stronger each year and gives community members a legacy to cheer on and to be proud of.
