The West Hancock boys and girls basketball teams have a reputation of succcess in the North Iowa Conference. In the past years, the girls team has had multiple state tournament appearances. Although the boys did not make it to state, they are known for their fast paced, hard working game. The North Iowa Conference is home to many state-tournament worthy boys basketball teams, and the West Hancock boys play close games with them all. Under the leadership of great coaches, both teams have the experience and the drive to become state qualifying teams in the near future and for many years to come.
